Costa Rica, Cannabis Certification Course (English)
Welcome to MEDEC-CR! By taking this course you are supporting our mission of educating doctors on emerging cannabis science using peer-reviewed, evidenced-based research. In this course you will learn about the endocannabinoidome and endocannabinoid system. You will learn how this system interacts with the rest of the body, common conditions that can be treated with cannabis sativa, and how to create a treatment plan for each patient’s specific needs. We will also discuss the risks associated with cannabis use for different age groups at different doses. Finally, we will help you understand how to prescribe medical cannabis given the current legal framework in Costa Rica. At the end of this course, you will receive a certificate of completion that will allow you to start prescribing cannabis to your patients within these legal boundaries as well as information on how to connect to our partners operating in Costa Rica to access products.
